Dakota Bands Concert Performance Ensembles

The Wind Ensemble features the finest musicians in the Dakota High School Band program. Meeting 4th hour, this select ensemble includes students from all grade levels who perform advanced literature and continue developing refined, professional skills. The Wind Ensemble presents multiple concerts throughout the school year and participates in the MSBOA State Festival each April. Members are highly encouraged to study privately with our adjunct faculty. Additionally, students are required to provide professional concert critiques and participate in MSBOA Region Band events. The ensemble also takes advantage of outside musical opportunities as they arise.
The Symphonic Band is one of three concert bands at Dakota High School. Meeting 5th hour, this ensemble includes students from all grade levels and focuses on refining instrumental skills while performing quality music literature at an advanced level. The Symphonic Band presents multiple concerts throughout the school year and participates in the MSBOA State Festival each April.
