The Marching Band at Dakota High School is one of the largest student organizations on campus with over 100 students involved. The Marching Band consists of students from all concert bands, as well as the Color Guard Program.
Once school starts, the Marching Band rehearses two-three times a week and performs at pregame and halftime of all football games. The Marching Band competes in 6-8 competitions on Saturdays during the fall in the Michigan Competing Band Association (MCBA) and performs in the America's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit.
In 2019 and in 2021 our Marching Band competed in MCBA (Michigan Competing Bands Association) and performed at the State Finals at Ford Field both years!
We will soon be gearing up for the Fall 2022 MCBA Competition Season. Online registration opens on March 1st. All current band members will receive registration information via email. There will be Marching Band Information meeting Monday, March 14th at 7pm in the Dakota High School Auditorium.
